Digital Quran with Pen Readers Distributed in Morocco

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Digital copies of the Holy Quran with pen readers were distributed among the visually impaired in Morocco for the first time.

According to hespress.com, the Quranic packages have been provided by “Mawaddah” Institute of the UAE and Tasnim Institute of Malaysia in cooperation with Morocco’s Ministry of Culture and Relations and the country’s “Uyun” Institute for supporting the Blind.

The National Library in Rabat, Morocco's capital city, distributed the Quranic gifts in a ceremony.

Addressing the ceremony, Mustafa Khalafi, Morocco's communications minister, said that the new technology applied in the Quranic product facilitates reading the Quran for this group of people.

He appreciated the efforts made by the association in providing the Quranic packages.

Ibrahim Ya’rebi, representative of the UAE’s institute said in the program that 5000 digital Quran copies with pen readers will be distributed among the visually-impaired.

Morocco is a North African country bordering the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. Islam is the largest religion in the country, with more than 99% of the population adhering to it.
