A number of political and religious figures including Sheikh Mohammad Mohaqqiq, head of the trust’s board, Seyyed Kadhim Sabri, Friday prayers leader in Saliskote village, Sheikh Sadiq Rajayi, head of the memorial trust, Haj Asghar Karbalayi, a former member of Kargil’s local parliament, and Velayat Ali, head of the Baqeriya Medical Center, were present at the program.
The speakers stressed that Muslims should be true followers of Imam Hussein (AS) and speak out against injustice and oppression.
It was also noted in the program that the Islamic Revolution in Iran which gained victory under the leadership of Imam Khomeini (RA) was an uprising against the tyranny of the time and is considered as an important achievement.
