Online Quranic Program Received Well in Russia

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Moscow Islamic Institute organized an online Quranic and religious fourm during the lunar months of Shaaban and Ramadan.

 

Hojat-ol-Islam Oktay Mohammadev, the institute’s deputy, said those interested in Quranic and religious issued welcomed the program, named “Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS)”.

He noted that the 30-miniute program was held in the Russian language every day over two months.

Qorban Mirzakhanev, a scholar at the institute, talked about issued related to the Holy Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) in the program.

It was held online due to the coronavirus restrictions, Mohammadev noted.

There are around 25 million Muslims in Russia today, a rise of 40 per cent since 1989.

In a few years, with the continued growth rate, Muslims are expected to account for one-fifth of the entire population.
