Sharjah-Based Quran Academy to Support Quranic Circles in Arctic

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A scientific and academic delegation from the Holy Quran Academy (HQA) in Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates visited the Icelandic capital Reykjavik, as part of the Academy’s efforts to spread and teach the Noble Quran and its sciences across the world.

 

Sheikh Sherzad Abdul Rahman Taher, Secretary General of the Holy Quran Academy, said the delegation's visit stems from the lofty goals and objectives of the Academy to teach the Quran and spread its sciences to the farthest point that the Academy can reach, sharjah24.ae reported.

The Secretary-General of the HQA confirmed that the Academy will continue its great scientific achievements and efforts, and seeks to graduate qualified scholars who are certified in the various seven, ten minor and ten major recitations with the chain of transmission to the Prophet (PBUH).

Sheikh Sherzad indicated that the Academy’s delegation will discuss, during its visit to Iceland, with those in charge of the only mosque in the capital, Reykjavik, efforts to support Quranic circles, teach and disseminate the Quran in the farthest and most remote place of the globe, the Arctic.

Sheikh Sherzad added that the HQA in Sharjah currently covers 133 countries on all continents of the world, and the number of male and female students affiliated with e- Maqra reached 467.
