Qataris to Offer Istisqa Prayer

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Qatar’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has announced that the Istisqa (rain-seeking) prayer will be offered in the country.

It will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 5:54am local time at a number of mosques in the country.

The ministry has prepared around 90 mosques for the prayer.

The Amir of Qatar will perform the Istisqa prayer with crowds of worshipers at Al-Wajba prayer ground.

Istisqa means prayer for water, namely seeking water (rain) from God during drought and times of low rainfall.
