Australian Islamic Center to Host Mourning Ceremonies for Prophet, His Household

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Mourning ceremonies are set to be held at Zainabia Islamic Center in Australia’s Brisbane next week over the demise anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his household.

 

According to the center, mourning ceremonies will start on Thursday, September 22 and go through for four nights till September 25.

Dr. Yahya Jahangiri is the speaker of the ceremonies during the nights.

The programs of the center will start every night at 6:30 PM local time with congregational Maghrib prayers.

The 28th day of the lunar calendar month of Safar marks the departure anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the martyrdom of Imam Hassan Mujtaba (AS), the second infallible Imam.

The 30th day of the lunar month is marked as the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Reza (AS), the eighth Shia Imam.
