TEHRAN (IQNA) – An event titled “World Quran Convention” was held in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday with the participation of hundreds of people.

Organized by Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation (WUIF), the event discussed Quranic solutions for overcoming contemporary challenges with a focus on messages of Surah As-Sajdah.

Marhaini Yusoff, the foundation’s CEO, said the international event sought to offer Islamic and Quranic solutions to financial, occupational, family, social, and spiritual challenges.

This was the last event this year under the framework of the “#QuranHour” campaign, she said.

Referring to various economic challenges and natural disasters that people may face in the coming years, the CEO said that divine help is needed to solve some of these problems.

Such events are expected to help society find such divine solutions, she added.

Pointing to programs of the WUIF that aim to promote reading, understanding, and implementing the Quran, Yusoff hoped that the foundation could co-organize similar events in other countries.

She said Iran, India, Singapore, and Brunei are among the countries that have voiced their interest to stage similar conventions.

Yusoff also said due to people’s war welcome of this year’s one-day event, the next year’s edition will be held on December 2-3, 2023.

Experts from Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Egypt, the United States, and Palestine addressed this year’s convention.
