Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Mohammadi, Mohammad Reza Sotudenia, Ayatollah Dori Najafabadi and Ahmad Abolqassemi were among those meeting with the family of the "martyr of Haram” (one who has been martyred while defending the Shia holy shrines).
The meeting took place on Thursday morning before a memorial service held by for Martyr Hojaji in Najafabad.
Abolqassemi was among the Qaris who recited verses from the Quran at the memorial service.
Hojaji, a member of the Iranian advisory support team in Syria, was taken captive by the Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) Takfiri terrorist group near the Iraqi border last week and beheaded two days later.
In a statement on Thursday and following the beheading of Hojaji in Syria, Major General Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards’ Quds Force, said Iranian forces would not rest until they have wiped out every last terrorist from the face of the Muslim world.
He added that the "horrific, inhumane crime” came in the wake of successive blows dealt on several fronts to Takfiri-Wahhabi terror groups, which are tied to global arrogance.
"The atrocity does not fall within any Islamic, or even humanitarian principle or law,” the statement said.
At the request of Iraq and Syria, the Islamic Republic has been providing advisory assistance to the respective countries’ armies in their fight against Takfiri terrorists.
