Indonesia: Center Honors 250 Quran Memorizers

JAKARTA (IQNA) – An Indonesian Quran center affiliated with the Astan of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) held an event to honor 250 Quran memorizers.

The center made a heartwarming gesture by organizing a special event in Bandung, West Java. The purpose of this event was to recognize and celebrate 250 students who had successfully memorized portions of the Holy Quran.

Abdullah Beik, the head of the center's branch in Jakarta, expressed the significance of this event, saying, it was held "In line with our commitment to motivate and encourage students in their Quranic endeavors.”

He said this was a first-of-its-kind recognition ceremony in Bandung.

This event was made possible through the hard work of 250 male and female students who completed their Quran memorization, he added.

The parents of the honored students were also present in the ceremony.

It also featured Quranic recitations and performances by the participating students, as well as speeches from two scholars.

The event concluded with friendly competitions, and the participants received awards in the form of gifts and certificates of appreciation, presented by the branch's management and distinguished individuals in attendance.
