Sudanese Women Memorize Quran in 99 Days: Report

IQNA – A number of women in Sudan have reportedly managed to learn the entire Quran by heart in less than 100 days.

The women took a Quran memorization course launched by Dr Amal Abdul Salam, al-Naylayn website reported. 

She said 54 women have memorized the Holy Book in 99 days after taking the course.  

She added that a method introduced by a Saudi Arabian sheikh has been used in this course but gave no details about the method.

The women were honored for their achievement at a ceremony held at Shaeid Yanab Mosque in the city of Ad-Damar.

The Holy Quran is the only religious Scripture that is memorized by its followers.

Innumerable persons in every Muslim community have memorized the Quran since the first day it was revealed.

The Quran has 30 Juzes (parts), 114 Surahs (chapters) and 6,236 verses.
