The open days of Islamic culture will be staged by the COREIS (Islamic Religious Community of Italy), in cooperation with the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research, on 15-16 May 2014, in Turin, Italy.

This event will include a roundtable on dialogue among cultures and followers of religions and a photo fair. Two documentaries on the same topic will also be displayed.
The event will seek to showcase the practical educational approach based on various pathways that incorporate dialogue among cultures and followers of religions and the promotion of education in healthy behaviours through adopting dialogue in schools and in the public space. Other objectives include redressing stereotypes and misconceptions on the Other, shedding light on the major contributions of Islamic civilization and the universal moral values brought about by this civilization, and broadening the knowledge of the citizens in Italy of the culture of migrants from Islamic origins or countries.
300 students, 20 teachers, two headmasters of two Italian educational institutions, officials from Turin and some representatives of religions in Italy will take part in this event.
It  is part of the agreement signed by ISESCO, the COREIS and the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research in 2013. ISESCO will be represented in this event by Dr Abdelilah Benarafa, expert in cultural diversity and policies and intercultural dialogue at the Culture and Communication Directorate.
