Quranic Course Begins in Turin

The first educational course on teaching the Holy Quran began from yesterday, August 2, in Turin city of Italy.


According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, the course is held by Al-Tawheed Cultural Islamic Center in the city.

Iranian Cultural Center in Italy has also cooperated in holding the Quranic program and Mas’ud Piruzmand, Iranian Quran expert and Qari, is teaching the course.

Reading the Holy Quran’s verses, Tajweed principles, Sowt and Lahn, Quran teacher training, Tawasheeh and congregational reading of Quranic verses, and preliminary and advanced levels of Quran memorization are different parts of the course.

The Quranic course will conclude on August 12.

Islam is the second-most widely practiced religion in Italy professed by an estimated 2% of the population according to 2011 estimates.
