The Quranic Sciences Center, affiliated to the Shia Waqf Department of Iraq, will organize the event, according to Qafqn.org website.
A delegation from the center recently visited the center to examine the facilities there for holding it.
The delegation’s members were welcomed by the officials of the Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrines in Samarra.
They were also briefed on the preparations made for hosting the Quran competition.
The annual event aims to select representatives of the Arab country for international Quran competitions.
Samarra is home to Marqad al-Imamayn, the holy shrines of Imam Hadi (AS) and Imam Hassan Askari (AS), the 10th and 11th Shia Imams.
