TEHRAN (IQNA) – School students in 52 countries have so far benefited from the activities of a Kuwaiti Quranic society that organizes charity and Quranic programs in different parts of the world.

Students from 52 Countries Benefit from Kuwaiti Quranic Society’s Programs

The Society for Serving the Quran and Its Sciences was founded in Kuwait in 2016 to serve the Holy Book, promote civilizational and cultural ties with Muslims, especially new converts, around the world, launching Quran memorization centers, and other activities, according to Arabi21 website.

According to the society, its activities have so far helped some 31,000 school students in 52 countries, including Chad, Mauritania, Syria, Niger, and Ghana.

The society’s programs include sending copies of Quran with translations in different languages, holding Quranic circles, facilitating Hajj trips for some Muslims in South Asia, helping Syrian refugees, implementing various charity plans, and distributing meat to the poor in 13 countries during Eid al-Adha.

It also organizes an international competition on memorization of the Holy Quran with the aim of promoting Kuwait’s Quranic activities.

The society hopes it will develop its activities for Muslim converts in Europe, the US and Latin America in the near future.

Its officials say new Muslim converts in those regions need Quran translations in their languages to better understand the teachings of the Holy Book.

There is also need for programs in the West to counter Islamophobia, the society’s officials say.
