TEHRAN (IQNA) – An Iraqi expert in defense affairs referred to the victory of the axis of resistance over the Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) terrorist group and US plots as a sign of emergence of a new world order.

Iraqi political expert Muhnad al-Jaberi

Muhnad al-Jaberi told IQNA in an interview that Iran, which constitutes a main component of the axis of resistance, has managed to bring about major victories in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon.

The axis of resistance has defeated Daesh and other Takfiri groups and foiled the plots hatched by the Zionists and Americans in the region, he said, adding that it can be considered as a clear indication of the change in the world order because a regional power has managed to thwart the schemes of a world power.

Today, the United States is no longer the dominant world power and the era of unipolarity seems to be over, he stated.

According to al-Jaberi, new emerging powers like Russia and China along with regional powers have changed the pyramid-like structure of distribution of power in the world to a network-like structure.

Asked about the position of Iran and other Muslim countries in the new system of distribution of power in the world, he said that over the past four decades, Iran has introduced itself as an Islamic power and the axis of US against the dominance of the US and Zionist regime in the region and managed to stabilize its power despite numerous sanctions.

It is part of the power of Iran and the axis of resistance that it has defeated Takfiri groups and thwarted US and Zionist plots, he stated.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Iraqi expert referred to the move by some Arab governments to normalize ties with the Israeli regime and stressed that Iraq has never been and will never be part of this trend.

Iraq is committed to the cause of Palestine and Islam and will never be part of the normalization current, he reiterated.
