Quran Competition in Balkans to Enter Final Round Today
The Albanian capital of Tirana will host the international Quranic competition for three days.
A total of 96 contenders will compete in two different sections for boys and girls in this stage.
They are from 14 countries of the Balkans and have made it to the finals after excelling in the preliminary round, which was held with the participation of 1,766 Quran memorizers.
There are four categories in the contest, namely, memorization of the entire Quran, and memorization of 10, 5 and two Juzes (parts) of the Holy Quran.
The contest, organized by the religious attaché of the Saudi Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is aimed at promoting the Quran among teenagers and the youth and encouraging them to learn Quranic and religious teachings.
