Over 22,000 Boys, Girls Take Part in Qatar Quran Competition for Students
More than 22,000 boys and girls are taking part in this edition of the Quranic event.
They represent 533 government-run and non-governmental schools in the country, according to Al-Ray newspaper.
Qatar’s Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministry has organized the contest in cooperation with the Education Ministry.
Jassim Abdullah al-Ali, an official with the Awqaf ministry, mosques in four cities host the competition in the boys’ section.
He added that the girls’ section is held in 9 Quranic centers in different cities.
