IQNA – The foreign ministry of Palestine has called for the inclusion of Israeli settler groups in the list of terrorist groups.

In a statement on Tuesday, the ministry said organized armed attacks and crimes being committed by setters and Zionist forces have significantly escalated in the West Bank and al-Quds recently.

It said such an escalation is clear proof that the Zionist regime ignores calls for a halt to illegal settlement building and the fact that UN Security Council resolutions and some countries’ sanctions against settlers are not enough.

The statement underlined the need for an international action to pressure the Israeli regime to dismantle the settler groups, disarm them, dry up their source of funding and end their political cover.

It also said it is not enough to ban the entry of some settlers traveling to certain European countries.

The ministry said it is necessary to add all terrorist settler organizations and groups to the international list of terrorist groups.

Palestinians have complained of rising settler attacks amid growing tensions across the Occupied West Bank.
