IQNA – An Egyptian calligrapher who has completed the writing of the Holy Quran says achieving this feat is the dream of every Muslim calligrapher.

Ayman Nimir, an Egyptian calligrapher and teacher based in Alexandria, recently fulfilled the cherished aspiration shared by many in his craft: writing the Holy Quran.

In an interview with Masri Al-Yum, he expressed how this accomplishment represents the enduring dream of every calligrapher.

Nimir recounted his journey, sharing that when he decided to embark on the task of writing the Holy Quran for the first time, he meticulously researched and prepared the groundwork before putting pen to paper.

Despite the dedicated effort, the initial copy, due to its small size, couldn't be printed even after thorough examination by Al-Azhar to ensure accuracy in Arabic and spelling, said the report.

Undeterred, Nimir took on the challenge once again, this time opting for a larger format that could be printed. After completing the meticulous monitoring process, he commenced the printing, a journey that spanned 11 years to bring this version of the Holy Quran to fruition.
