Quran Memorizers Honored in Rafah

The officials of a camp in Rafah housing those displaced as a result of the Israeli regime’s attacks on the Gaza Strip held a ceremony to honor the kids.

More than 40 boys and girls were hailed at the ceremony for memorizing several Juzes (parts) of the Holy Quran, Arab21 website reported.

It was organized at the Shifa Amru School of the camp which houses thousands of refugees.

Despite the Israeli bombings in the Gaza Strip that have killed many civilians and displaced hundreds of thousands, Quranic activities continue in the besieged enclave.

In Rafah, which lies near the border with Egypt, families have set up tents in which children learn the Quran as well as Islamic teachings and ethics.
