It took Rwan Dweek seven years to learn all verses of the Holy Book by heart.
Rwan, 28, says she read the Quran five times a day and wrote down the verses she had memorized.
Then she reviewed the memorized verses several times to keep them in her memory.
She has memorized the Quran along with mastery over Tajweed recitation of the verses.
Her mother says that after noticing Rwan’s good memory and talent, she took her to a Quran memorization center in early childhood.
Rwan is currently taking exams to obtain permission for teaching the Quran to children and adults.
Prince Mired Raad, president of Jordan’s Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, praised Rwan and stressed that people with Down syndrome can learn and teach and surmount the problems resulting from the syndrome if their families take good care of them and help them.
